How It Works

Welcome to HospoWork

HospoWork provides different services for Employers and Candidates (Job Seekers).

We specialise in Management and Kitchen positions in pubs and clubs.

Anyone can browse existing jobs by clicking ‘All Jobs’ in the menu or ‘Browse Advertised Jobs’ on the home page. Your search can be refined using keywords, category and location.

To apply for a job or use our other services you will need to Register as a Candidate (people looking for work).

Candidate Bios

Any registered Candidate can create a ‘Bio’ that details their skills, experience and other employment status – even if they have never previously worked in hospitality.  

A Bio can be under a Candidate’s real name, or an ‘Alias’ that keeps your identity private.

Employers can browse all Candidate Bios and contact someone they see as suited to a job.

IMPORTANT: A Candidate’s personal details will not be shared with any Employers. HospoWork will send an introduction email from the Employer to the Candidate, with contact details and a message. The Candidate then chooses if and when to engage with the Employer.

Candidates can edit their Bios, make them Active or Inactive, and even have more than one Bio.

Job Alerts

Registered Candidates can create job alerts based on searches (by keyword, location, category). An email alerting you to a new job is delivered at selected intervals (daily, weekly, fortnightly). 

Candidates can also Bookmark a job and add notes.

Candidate Dashboard

On the Dashboard, Candidates can:

  • Create and manage their Bio(s)
  • See jobs alerts they have created
  • See jobs they applied for

Registered Employers can:

  • Post a Standard Job – at NO COST (upgrade to a Featured listing for more prominence)
  • Browse Candidate Bios

Candidate Bios

These are created by registered Candidates and contain details on a person’s skills, experience and other employment status. Some may be people who have never previously worked in a pub or club, but have skills or availability that a pub or club operator could use.

Bios can be under a Candidate’s real name, or an ‘Alias’ that allows them to field offers even if already employed somewhere.

Employers can browse all Candidate Bios and request an Introduction to someone they see as suited to a job. HospoWork will contact the Candidate with the Employer’s details and a message.

Bios mean an Employer may not even need to post an ad for a new staff member.

Posting a Job

A Standard Job ad can be posted on HospoWork AT NO CHARGE, on the ‘Post A Job’ page.

Employers specify what they need, such as:

  • Job parameters: location, type (F/T, P/T, Casual), salary range
  • Requirements: qualifications, experience, special needs

The Standard Job ad can be upgraded to a Featured Ad by purchasing an upgrade through our store.

The Employer can review and manage their job listings on their Dashboard, which shows key details including the expiry dates, and flagged Candidates.

Once a job is posted, it can be viewed by anyone on the site, but only registered Candidates can apply.

Employers receive an email with the details of any person who applies, including any uploaded resumes.

Job listings are active for 30 days, or until marked as ‘Filled’. We will contact you before expiry about continuing the listing.
